As I write this post, I’m currently in the midst of my ninth month sheltering-in-place as the world continues to grapple with the ongoing danger posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. While it’s an immense privilege to be able to work from home and quarantine with my parents, who I love dearly and whose company I’m so grateful for, there are still moments when this period of isolation can feel claustrophobic and bleak, particularly when there’s no immediate end in sight. I imagine this has been even more difficult for those who travel often or who made plans for a trip that was unfortunately postponed due to circumstances outside their control.
This holiday season, a travel-themed gift might be the perfect way to remind your loved one with wanderlust that this won’t last forever.
