Due to the volume of requests I now receive for cover reveals, book reviews, author interviews, advertising and more, and the time it takes to read the books in question and write and prepare these posts, Pop! Goes The Reader is now monetized and I ask that I be compensated for my time and labour. For a complete breakdown of my current fees and the variety of promotional packages the blog offers, please see Pop! Goes The Reader’s Promotion page for further details.

Still interested in promoting your work on Pop! Goes The Reader? That’s great! Here are some important things to keep in mind before contacting me!

Pop! Goes The Reader is a book blog that focuses predominantly on young adult and middle grade fiction. My primary areas of interest are the contemporary, romance, horror and historical fiction genres, although I am also willing to accept other genres outside of these dependant upon my level of interest in the specific book in question. I am also willing to review the occasional adult novel, again depending on my personal level of interest in the book and subject matter it covers. This will be decided on a case-by-case basis. I will not review self-published work.

To contact me regarding promotion on Pop! Goes The Reader, please email me at jen@popgoesthereader.com.

When submitting a book for potential promotion on Pop! Goes The Reader, please include the following information in your correspondence:

  • Title and Author
  • Synopsis
  • Publication Date
  • A brief explanation as to why your book would be a good fit for Pop! Goes The Reader and/or be of interest to me and the blog’s audience
  • Any specific date or deadline requirements in regard to when you would like the post to go live

In the case of a book review, author interview or other promotional option that requires that I read a book before posting about it on the blog, I have access to both NetGalley and Edelweiss and I’m happy to accept books in an eBook format to save clients the cost of shipping a physical book for review to Canada.
