The Literary Shopaholic is a sporadic feature on Pop! Goes The Reader in which I highlight some of my favourite literary-themed items. From bookmarks to bookends, purses to prints and everything in between, I’ve selected a few things that will be at the very top of my shopping list this season!
It is a truth universally acknowledged that a literary tote bag is a voracious reader’s best friend. Whether you’re navigating the floor at Book Expo America or attending a book signing, spending a day at the beach or packing for a weekend away, literary tote bags offer the perfect marriage between fashion and practicality, allowing you to proudly declare “I Am A Reader!” with a single accessory. From Pride and Prejudice to Harry Potter, The Fault In Our Stars to The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, today I’ve compiled a a list of forty-five toteally awesome toes, including links to each individual bag and the artist responsible for creating it. So what are you waiting for? Get toting!

Oh my gosh, I’m in love with these – what a diverse & beautiful collection! (I sort of want them all now, tbh.)
I have a tote from the New York Public Library with the quote “Outside of a dog, a book is man’s best friend. Inside of a dog, it’s too dark to read”, and I pretty much carry it everywhere. Alas, it’s coming on four years old and looking a little worse for the wear, so I may need to replace it with one of these lovelies… 😉

How would I choose which to buy? If my friends/family knew about things like this they could get me one as a present and I’d love it, but making the choice myself is too hard.
