May Your Days Be Merry and Bright

As much as it pains me to do, it is finally time to bid farewell, at least for now, to the ‘Tis The Season: Authors Talk Holidays event. (Are we sure I can’t make this a year-round feature? Heidi Schulz does make a good point, after all.) What began as a personal project meant to spread a little cheer this holiday quickly blossomed into something much larger, thanks in large part to the generosity of sixteen wonderful authors who were willing to share their time and their immense talent in order to help make this season a little brighter for myself and all of my readers. With over 5,500 collective page views throughout the month of December alone, more than 2,100 visitors came to share in their stories of family and friendship, tradition and togetherness, reindeers and remembrance, elves and Elvish. Whether they made you laugh or made you cry, each was a touching reminder of what the holiday season is truly about, something for which I’ll forever be grateful.

To Becky Albertalli, David Arnold, Ashley Herring Blake, Tara Dairman, Amy Finnegan, Lauren Gibaldi, Kelly Loy Gilbert, Jessi Kirby, Laura Langston, Jennifer Maschari, K.E. Ormsbee, Heidi Schulz, Michelle Smith, Vikki VanSickle, Sharon Biggs Waller and Jasmine Warga: Thank you. So much. Your constant kindness, support and friendship throughout this event meant more to me than I’ll ever possibly be able to convey. ‘Tis The Season would not have been possible without your magnificent contributions and I’ll never be able to thank you enough.

To my readers: Whether you’re celebrating the season in the dark privacy of a movie theatre or the loud, controlled chaos of a Chinese restaurant, gathered ’round the fire singing carols or simply doing nothing at all, I would like to wish you and your loved ones all the peace, love and joy in the world, both today and every day.

I’ll see you in the new year!

Hi! I’m Jen! I’m a thirty-something introvert who loves nothing more than the cozy comfort of home and snuggling my two rescue cats, Pepper and Pancakes. I also enjoy running, jigsaw puzzles, baking and everything Disney. Few things bring me more joy than helping a reader find the right book for them!
